After missing the first two British and Irish Lions matches due to a knee injury, Sam Warburton is all set to return this Saturday and play against Queensland Reds with his fellow team mates. The Lions captain has been under pressure to speed up his recovery and resume full training following a recent steroid injection.
Gethin Jenkins will also appear in his first game this Saturday after shaking off a calf problem. Warburton expresses his excitement for Saturday's game: "I wish the game was tomorrow, really. I am just dying to get on the pitch. It can't come quick enough," he said.
"Since we got together as a squad it has been amazing. I have absolutely loved it, even though I haven't played.
The Lions head coach Warren Gatland said: "Two wins and two victories is great, but those two matches are building blocks as we build towards the Test series."
"We always said we would give every player a start in the first three matches, and this team reflects that."
"It also provides us with the opportunity to continue to look at different combinations. For the Reds, this includes a new centre pairing and a different front-five."
Warburton says how he feels all back-rowers have done exceptionally well, which makes the selection process all the more difficult.
Trophy Finder would like to wish the Lions the best of luck at Saturdays game!
